I love Olvera Street! ❤, it's one of my favorite places in Los Angeles. This is our birthplace and I love Los Angeles. This place has so much special memories. Especially childhood memories. When I come here. I can still remember my mom ,sister and I. Coming here often to eat at all the great restaurants . Or to shop at all the cool shops. They have a lot of nice stuff. They used to have a shop. That made parasols candy from scratch. Wow they were some of the best candy. I have ever had. It was still warm and soft. I've never had warm fresh candy. Today I went to Cielito lindo .I got 3 taquitos, beans, rice and cheese. With fresh green sauce. Very good and great price. My friend and I plan on. Trying one restaurant a month. Until we try them all. If you haven't been to Olvera Street. I highly recommend this place. It's a great place to make new memories, especially for the kids.

Immerse yourself in a little piece of Mexico , it takes you in to what a mercado market would be . I love coming here and visiting all the puestos (stands) and being able to shop Mexican goodies. We had taquitos and birria while the musicos (musicians ) serenated us .

First time here with family. The shops had plenty of unique merchandise. All the store owners I came across were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the Adobe museum they had midway through the shops.

The shop that sell horchata does make home made tortillas.
"Ropa Folclórica" or Mexican "folkloric clothing" can be found in various shops and street carts on Olvera St.
Start 10am to 6-8pm daily and weekends open 10am and close 8-10pm

Go to the placita page on the internet, there you can find the calendar of the next events
I've seen them on Saturday for sure not sure what time though I'm pretty sure on Sunday too but not one hundred percent sure
Yes...but some vendors may not be open. Point is can still go into shops open and visit the plaza and other landmarks really close. Walking distance to Chinatown.
Of course you have to open baptisms but you have to ask for information at the church in Placita Olvera.
Many are open, but no idea if open for inside dining. Would be best to find all the restaurants surrounding OLVERA Street on Google Maps and contacting each one with your question.
You can get it in Whittier Narrows on Rosemead Blvd, from some of the roadside vendors.
I dont think they have there recipes but if you look up olvera street food recipes you'll find some good 1s on there & I did see some glass figurines but I dont think they were just glass i think they sold that & other things as well
I liked
Depends on your weather of preference. As far as I know you can expect the little shops to be open all seasons, but I bet holidays would be nice there.
Yes but keep an eye on them, lots of room
