I really like this little shop! They're really nice and really like taking about magic the gathering. Always get my preorders here. They have really good deals sometimes! I've had weird experiences at games ships before but never here. Do recommend it if you're nervous about going into a place because you're worried about having a weird experience! They're also really good about their mask policies.

Only been here twice so far (just moved to LA) and have been very happy with their Pokemon stock and service. No where else had Hidden Fates and although the set is 3 years old now, the pricing isn't outrageous. Seeing some reviews that the cards sold here are fake? That is absolutely incorrect. I have only purchased sealed Pokemon from them (previously a booster box) and was very happy with my purchase. Maybe some people need to do research before they write? The more you know! The guys inside are nice and the location is very convenient (parking). During covid, to go support your Local Game Store is absolutely imperative. Yes times are tough for everyone right now, but if you are looking for games or collectibles or tcg's in the Los Angeles area Next Gen Games absolutely deserves your support.

Almost every day. You can walk in at any time and be confident you'll find someone to play with (unless you want to play Pokemon. It's a struggle finding Pokemon players).
There are games that are not language based, and have instructions in Spanish.
U HAVE TO BUY PLAY CARDS FOR THE ARCADE
Magic & Pokemon, store credit only.
Currently, we are not purchasing anything. Once the store re-opens for events, we'll be looking into possibly buying cards again.
We do NOT.
We have a Pokemon Pearl in stock right now.
Sorry we actually don't do Yu-Gi-Oh at Next-Gen Games
Yes they do. full range of citadel paints. a good selection of Vallejo, Turbo Dork, and some Army Painter stuff too. great store.
They deal with Pokemon cards but not Yu-Gi-Oh.
I saw them in there! I'd just make sure they're in good condition
They do!
They do, every Thursday at 7:30. I think you want to get there a little earlier than that
Yes, though I don't know how extensive it is. They have scheduled time for Pokemon players on Thursdays (6:30pm) and Saturdays (12pm).
They have some, they were on clearance at the beginning of July so I'm not sure what they'd have left.
Yes. They have a good selection of RPG books. I know at least the Player's Handbook and Xanathar's Guide are there.
Sorry we no longer carry new Vanguard Cards. We do have a very small selection of older closeouts from a few years ago that we may request to see but we they are not on display.
There are multiple LGBT players in the NextGen magic community. I can't speak for the other playgroups, but I've never seen any sort of harassment at the shop and I know it wouldn't be tolerated.
To the best of my knowledge Next-Gen does not have a setup for bringing in video game consoles and playing them there. In fact, I have never heard of any store offering such a setup. However, feel free to call them directly to ask them about your specific case.
For inventory related questions, Please contact the store directly at (323) 938-3400.
Ok thanks. Il check their facebook
Sure, if you like to do some window shopping. There's also a sports bar nearby to have happy hour deals. The store has all kinds of merchandise ranging from board games, card games and game consoles, past and present. The only downside is that they don't have all the stuff you may be looking for, for example, I have been searching for a wireless ps3 controller and they told me that I have to wait till someone sells that to get it.
They only buy and trade MTG, but they still yugioh packs and sleeves. They also have yugioh tourneys on Thursdays.
They do! They have a large selection of Magic singles, I'm pretty sure they have pokemom and yugioh as well. They take singles for store credit, depending on value.
No I don't think they do. I haven't seen those in any of the local game shops.
