Wonderful park. We stopped by while traveling through Ashville. There are restrooms with changing tables, a great paved walking path for strollers or walkers, and an accessible playground. We will definitely stop by again if we are in town.

This is a very nice park! It is well kept and very family friendly. They rent the pavilion out for parties and it's very enjoyable!

So much fun. Great park for 18months and older. There is an infant swing.

I don't know what it is about amazing Parks not having a designated bathroom area, but this is definitely one of them! This playground is a fortress! It's amazing! There're so many crawl spaces and climbing spots and loads of ways for kids to use their creativity and play. They have a toddler area that had a sand pit. It requires adult supervision, but it's easy enough to keep track of your child in that area. There are plenty slides, monkey bar type areas, climbing, seating, swings, and so much more! There were a few picnic tables around the outside of the fenced-off playground area. And, a small gazebo looking Pavilion area. It was quite quaint and outside of the fenced area was a walking area and a field they can run around. The parking lot isn't the greatest, but I don't really care about that. My daughter loves swings, but there was so much to explore and play with at this park that she didn't even touch the swings. Usually, all we do is push her on the swing but this park was different. It was quite refreshing :-) if this park had a designated bathroom area, I would give it a 5-star rating.

I don't think it's set yet. The city had meetings last year and planned construction between "2019 & 2021".
I think so. I believe that they plan to integrate three pickleball courts into the basketball court. Details here https://www.ashevillenc.gov/department/parks-recreation/projects/jake-rusher-park-bond-project/
There are basketball goals at the church further south on sweeten creek rd on the right, down behind the church.
