Horrible service. I was having COVID symptoms and the triage nurse initially turned me away even though they were completely empty and said they can’t do anything for me. Then upon demanding and stating that it was illegal of them to do, they took me in for a doctors visit. The doctor laughed at me and asked why I came into the hospital for a COVID test when there were other places to go for it, keep in mind it was 5am so nothing was open. Then he kept cutting me off when he asked me questions, he asked what my symptoms were and I only had time to say a headache before he carried on with his duties. Afterwards, he told me I had to quarantine but upon telling him I’m on vacation and that i don’t have anywhere to stay, he said, “well that’s not my problem”. I told him I don’t have the money to rent a hotel for a week and he again said, “well you have to figure out”. Then he walked out without asking if I needed help with anything else or had other concerns—which I did. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital or any sort of medical center. Looking at my after visit summary, it says my reason for visit was “fatigue”. Like I said, by far the worst experience I’ve had and Dr. William T Durkin was the rudest doctor I’ve encountered. I hope he learns to pay more attention to his patients. But after they were no help to me, I went to CVS and got a self Covid test, and yep, I have Covid. So all the laughing at me and the not paying attention to turned out to be costly. Do not come here, and if you do, request anyone else but Dr. Durkin

Horrible horrible service. I've been here an hour and still haven't seen or spoke to a nurse, any other ER hooks you up to the machines as soon as you get to a bed, I haven't been hooked up or seen a nurse yet. I hear them outside my room talking about everything else but work. I definitely should've just waited at Sharp.

Brought my husband to the ER here & the lady with the blue/purple hair was so rude. Rolled her eyes at me because I had to wheel my husband in a wheelchair. She just sat there eating her snacks & picking at her teeth. Never ever will I come here nor bring my family to this hospital.

Nothing but terrible experiences here. If there are ANY other options for you, definitely GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Literally anywhere else. A roadside clinic in Tijuana would be preferable. The bald male receptionist clearly hates his life (and who could blame him, all things considered) and has made it his mission to be as rude, snide, and intentionally unhelpful as possible. Like seriously, dude? It's an emergency room. Is it really necessary to make mean and judgemental comments about people? Does being condescending to people seeking your help make you feel better about yourself?

Yes. Any and all ERs have to see patients regardless of their ability to pay due to EMTALA law.
