First time there, needed work done on glock. Brian did a great job. Carl is the man and very fairly priced. VC defense is overpriced. Im glad i went to cam guns.

Purchased over $1000 worth of guns and ammo along with a pistol rack. The pistol rack was missing one of the components so I went back to get some help. The clerk/ owner/ jerk that was helping me told me to contact the manufacture for the missing part so I asked him if you could give me there phone number to the manufacture . He looked it up and told me that they don't have a number only an email address and that was the end of the assistance. I asked if he could just give me the $5.00 part and then send the rack back to the manufacture and he said no can do. I was amazed of the lack of customer service so asked him if it was worth loosing a customer over this and his reply was "at this time YES. I was amazed and shocked at the same time and was stunned by his reaction so I asked him again "is it really worth loosing a customer over this" and his next reply was "get the F___K out of my store. That was my first and last time I will ever go back to that place. the gentlemen behind the counters were as amazed as I was when there boss reacted that way I guess there is no such thing as customer service at least not at that store!

I have spoken with various people who've have visited Camarillo Guns. Now that they moved to their new location, you'll be paying much more so the owner can pay his larger overhead. Way overpriced and not the most friendly. They don't value or appreciate their customers and definitely could care less about earning any repeat business. I stopped in to check out the new store and pick up some ammo. Quite a bit of their ammo was overpriced as much as 25-30% more including some of their firearms.The person that was helping me informed that one ammo that I wanted, was hard to find. Seems like they always use that reason in order to gouge their customers. I left the store and called around to find the ammo I needed in Thousand Oaks, no problem. I called Tactical Arms in Thousand Oaks and the person over the phone assured me that he had plenty in stock as well as great prices. I drove to the location and they had a great selection and prices were very competitive. One of the owners Alex helped me and was very informative. He went the extra length to earn my business. I ended up purchasing an exact rifle that I saw at Camarillo Guns for $450 less along with varies ammo sizes that I needed. Tactical Arms will continue to earn my business. As far as Camarillo Guns, if you want to pay more and get treated poorly, then Camarillo Guns is the place. I'll pass.

Excellent store, employees were extremely helpful. Went there withy wife so she could purchase her first gun and the staff was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I have been toany gun stores in southern California and I highly recommend Camarillo Gun Store. Very good selection and reasonable pricing.
