This was absolutely a great experience from the moment we walked in until we left the restaurant. We were walking around on Friday evening and decided to go into this restaurant that we have heard about from several people. The restaurant had a nice crowd but there were several tables open. We approached the Hostess station and was greeted by "Brook". She had a welcoming smile and immediately made you feel welcomed at the restaurant. We had hesitation in our voices when we asked if there was an open table for 4 people. She said that would not be a problem and escorted us to a nice table. "Brook" also told us what were her favorite things on the menu when we asked her. She made us feel right at home. Shortly after, our server "Nicky" greeted us at the table and let us know that she would be taking care of us. She asked us if we have ever been to the restaurant before and then explained that this is a farm to table restaurant. So everything is locally grown or from the nearby area. The menu changes daily depending on what is available and that after we look over the menu that she would answer any questions that we may have. "Nicky's" service was amazing and as you can see from the posted pictures the dinner deserved every one of the 5 stars that I awarded. The fish was fresh and prepared excellently. There was nothing left on anyone's plate when the meal was over. Before I end, I must talk a little about the drinks we were served. The bartenders create a drink menu with very creative and tempting drinks that you would not find in other places. We enjoyed them and felt it enhanced our visit to this restaurant. If you are only looking for a cocktail this is a good place to stop in and try something new. I must say that if you are looking to have a special meal then you are looking at the right restaurant. The service is top shelf, the meals are prepared and plated with care and the cocktails are outstanding. You can tell that this place takes pride in what they do and how the restaurant looks. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a visit to Pinpoint.

Walking around downtown with the family and decided to eat dinner in the area. First place we picked had a 25 minute wait for a table so we decided Pinpoint based on the reviews. Lots of empty tables and went in for dinner. Didn’t have a reservation and asked if they had anything available for us to sit down. Fortunately the hostess was able to get us a table. Very appreciative. Sat down and ordered three entrées. The waitstaff gave us our waters and some bread to munch on. Forty minutes later with no visits from the waitstaff with an explanation of the wait or a refill of the waters, decided to leave based on the lack of service. As I was telling the hostess we were leaving, the waitstaff said he would go check on the order; too little, too late. Manager came and said the order was almost ready and could put it in to go containers. Declined and went on our way.

This was one if the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the trendy decor, to the fresh food, Pinpoint delivers an experience to be remembered. There's always something refreshing about a restaraunt who modifies its menu based on the local availability of ingredients. We sat at the bar and had Nate as a bartender. He was extremely knowledgeable about the restaraunt and all the dishes. One of the best interactions I had in Wilmington. We ordered raw oysters (one of each variety) for an appetizer. I've had a lot of oyster in my life, living on the coast, but these were the most elegant and delicious ones I've had the pleasure of eating. I ordered the fried mushroom steak (pictured) and he ordered the grouper (pictured). I loved how creative and tasty the mushroom steak was. Typically vegetarian dishes leave a bit to be desired, but this one was a home run. The grouper was so flavorful and paired nicely with the homeade ravioli and asparagus. This is definitely a must-visit on future trips!

We wanted to celebrate our Ironman 70.3 race with an outstanding dinner and choose PinPoint as our destination. From the moment we arrived until we left we had the best service and care. As a party of 6 we tried as many dishes as we could and we love them all. Pinpoint also features a delicious wine and beer list to choose from. We also love what Pinpoint stands for. Go there and find out what it is❤️ We couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant.
