It’s only the crime for me! That’s the only reason why I rated it a four! Other than that I’m pretty satisfied

I lived here for 6 years and moved because the neighborhood is just getting too bad. There are frequent robberies at night and over the time I was there, my car was damaged 3 times from either a break in or a drunk person running into cars all over the parking lot. The elevators seemed to break at least once a month, even after they “replaced” them (which is devastating if stairs are difficult for you or if you live on a high floor) and the washer and dryers leave a weird stench on your clothes, they definitely need to be replaced. I lived at the top of the building so I didn’t experience any rodents, but I knew people on lower floors that had ongoing issues. The units have nice, spacious bedrooms and a huge living room but the kitchens are tiny with MINIMAL counter space, which can make it difficult to cook. Master baths are also pretty small (water pressure in the showers are weak). For some reason the water bills are unusually high at this building, even if you don’t use it frequently...I’m talking over $70 a MONTH and it only gets worse in the winter and summer. I liked that there’s concrete between each floor so you won’t hear the people above or below you unless they’re literally trying to make noise and the walls aren’t paper thin. There’s a trash chute on each floor so you don’t have to hike across the parking lot to dump anything. You also get a nice view of the city depending on how high up you are. You will experience some rude and slow to move people in the rental office but there’s at least one person in there who has some sense. The maintenance team is polite and try to knock your issues out quickly. Also, the building is directly next to an elementary school and your children can walk. All in all, it wasn’t terrible but that building could REALLY benefit from some upgrades to the appliances and security cameras outside.

This wasn’t all terrible, but pretty bad. In the year that I lived here I experienced a leak near the air/heat unit, a leak in the living area, a leak that made the bathroom ceiling fall in, mice, roaches, etc. Maintenance are untrained and pretty lazy. They really don’t do the job. The air was turned off with no notice in the middle of summer. I had a newborn baby and would have appreciated at least some notice. The water was constantly off especially during the day (9-5). Compared to other Kay properties, this one was pretty bad. The three stars are for the fact that I was compensated with a credit on my rent for my bathroom ceiling falling in and I was able to get out of my lease in 30 days as opposed to the 60 they require. Also, Janavia was a pleasure to work with during my time here. She really should replace Robin. She is the only reason I was able to stay as long as I did. I would not recommend this apartment complex due to the building issues and mice problem (4311).

The staff in rental office are rude as hell especially Janavia Harrell. She let the maintenance people come into my apt and ransack my my place and steal all of my jewelry and clothes because of a personal issue, then bad mouthed me to whoever would listen. The Mtg staff sticks together so the tenants are never right. DO NOT RENT From them.
