Was looking for cool record stores with a great selection and stumbled across this record shop and now it’s a new favorite place to go! Can’t believe I was able to snag this Morris Day and The Time vinyl!
Travis Jaramillo
Has a good amount of rock, indie, and world music. Decent selection of hip-hop and r&b. Light on EDM, but has an awesome selection of movie and show soundtracks. The Staff is great.
Chris Marsh
One of the more unique selections out there these days. I shopped for metal and saw some quite rare offerings. Wonderful bargain section as well!
The Skinny Billionairess
The place where albums come to wait for their new owners. You can even ask about opinions on scratches from the crew that work here. Be sure to check out The Attic section where the bargain basement price of .91 cents will yield some great vinyl finds.

5 months ago Huge store full of music and movies!! I can spend a couple hours here just browsing every section. Be careful you're gonna want to buy everything. They also have a vhs section which I love. Like
They are
Better at Amoeba. They have international categories.
I bought two FYC DVD sets at a very reasonable price, which tells me they either don't pay very much for them or don't pay anything for them
not buying classical and broadway shows currently
They are being genuinely careful about the head count inside, so you may have to wait outside til others leave to enter. Then you have to grab some hand sanitizer before entering. I feel like you can shop here with confidence.
They do have a latin section which probably has some Salsa cuts.
I don't believe so, but prior to the pandemic, Atomic Records in Burbank sold them.
Call them directly. They're really knowledgeable and friendly!
I bought new Michael Jackson and Eagles vinyls there on Friday.
They do
Yes. Old school and recent music
Yes
Record Surplus is not buying DVDs
Yes, they have tons
Sell privately... American Pickers show...big collectors...
Give them an old fashioned phone call. They probably have it.
Call Record Surplus and speak to them directly
Yes
You'd have to go in and have them evaluate the record.
I've seen dogs in there.
It depends on the condition. I got a couple of albums in very good condition for $4 and $7. I also got a double album that was pretty rare, in vg+/near mint for $20, a great deal to me. I found the prices here much more reasonable than Amoeba or some other places. If you are more flexible about condition, you can get albums for $1-3. I was impressed with price and quality.
You get a faster answer if you call them
I do from time to time. Hip hop mainly out of the two
All your music needs.
They will not give you anything unless they are rare, out-of-print, mint condition and then maybe $1 each or less, Seriously.
Kurtiss yes after work nice to drive home with new music.
