The museum has very good exhibitions. Overall the museum is on the smaller size but has good collections. A fun exhibition presently into August 2022 is on Hollywood movie backdrops. Fun to see, fun to put yourself in the scenes, and fun to recall the movies you thought were filmed on location.

Machu Picchu exhibit was fantastic!!! Veerrry well put together! The audio was well worth the extra money. There was a line for the virtual show so we did not do that.

During my time at the museum, I was able to take part in the Machu Picchu exhibit and it was fabulous 🤩. The exhibition was a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ experience. The Virtual Reality add-on was definitely worth it! I really felt as if I were taking a flight over Machu Picchu! The VR experience features a moving chair, smell dispensar and motion-enhancing speakers! I plan to bring friends to come back and visit the exhibit and definitely the Virtual Reality. Great place for you to bring your family for an afternoon.

Beautiful small museum- easy to see in an hour or two. Elevator to the second floor. Permanent exhibits plus new exhibitions keep it fresh. I took an art class there which was amazing. Free parking in the garage right there in Mizner across the street. You can walk in the square and have a bite to eat or a drink at the many options available with outside seating.

According to the visitor policies, firearms aren't mentioned as prohibited. However, you might be requested to submit all belongings during check-in. I recommend contacting the museum's customer service.

No you don’t need tickets in advance
The museum reopens on October 16 with the exhibition, "Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru."
They are closed Monday and Tuesday.
No appointment is neccessary to visit. Our hours are Wednesday - Sunday from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm.
Admission is $ 12 for adults, $ 10 for those 65+, and is free for students, children, and museum members.
