Currently, 6/24/2022, the public restrooms on the south side are closed. Lets hope they get them updated because they were the only bad thing about the park. The restrooms on the north side are still open. I drive up from Phoenix because I enjoy this park so much! I noticed the Visitors Center is now open so I'll have a chance to visit it. Everyone who walks at the park treats you like a neighbor. I can sit all day just watching the birds of prey catch fish. There's lots of open space and grass for kids. The only issue is the restrooms can be dirty. I can hardly wait until the museum buildings on the east side are open again.

Great multi use public park. My husband and I grew up going to the grade school nearby. The use of water here is awesome!

Wow! What a lovely park! Love the small lake in the center-great for walking or sitting around the lake, fishing, or picnic! Restrooms and decent amount of parking in a few lots. There’s one section that has a playground with good children’s equipment as well as Ramadas and picnic tables. Sitting by the water is so peaceful! Thankful for such a nice place-great to get away from Phoenix and enjoy cooler temps!

It's all the same now. General fishing license covers all waters including Urban Lakes. Technically Green Valley Lake is in the Urban Fishing Program and I think you can still purchase just an Urban Fishing License.
If there are then not many. I don't recall seeing any.
The whole park is a playground for kids and adults The park is open to the public There is lots of grass for picnic and play. There are quite a few very nice trees. There is a nearby elementary school There are interesting museum exhibits People fish in the lake. Enjoy a nice day at the park.
The stocking schedule is maintained by AZ Game and Fish. Check their website for stocking schedules.
As Sierra said, it's reclaimed waste water so I would not advise. Also until they brought the carp in there was a ton of undergrowth and hooks/fishing line would get broke off so there could be hooks that could catch on your pups paws
Mindy there is no enclosed dog park at green valley park, however if your in Payson and need that there is a nice one at Rumsey park in Payson off McLane Rd. across from our library. Hope this helps. Enjoy Payson😊
