Since Kitchen Woori was closed, I went across the street to the Food Market to see if I could pick up some deli items. I was really happy with the vegan gimbap, which was large, packed with vegetables, and only $5.49. I also picked up the kimchi fried rice, also a great portion size and price, but a little greasy towards the bottom of the bowl.

So far, I’m kinda in love with this place. It’s nicely tucked away between the restaurants, beverage stores, and small shows in the area. It’s small but they have a good selection of the things you NEED! Right when you walk in you’ll see the Gimbap & Korean Fried Chicken, like in your face, which are like Korean sushi rolls. On your left side you’ll see marinated crabs and other seasoned traditional Korean dishes. I found my radishes and fish cakes there. They sell a large variety of Asian snacks, noodles, rice (including the microwaveable kinds, like is it a Korean grocer without it?), meats, and veggies. There’s also a wall of drink options. What’s better? If you walk in, you’ll hear lively conversations in Korean and it will feel like you’re physically in Korea even if it’s just for a minute. It’s nice to feel like you’re escaping the hustle and bustle of the city while you shop for groceries. They accept credit cards and Apple Pay, which is becoming more common at local Asian grocers but not all accept everything so that’s a plus that I can walk in without having to bring cash.

Staff is nice and stock is great. The prices are a little higher than h-mart but this one is closer to me. Edit: for selective items, its actually cheaper here.

Very surprised with the pricing and varieties offered in this supermarket! You can find almost everything you need to make a delicious korean meal!
