Great selection of high quality gear with lots of informative people around to help. Lots of services to rent high quality gear for camping, skiing,etc. If you’re thinking about buying a yeti cooler but don’t know if it’s worth it, you can rent one here. There’s some parking on site, but on busy weekends, be prepared for lots of people, long lines, and look for street parking at the meters.

I love Sports Basement. The staff is great and the selection is better than most outdoors stores. Also, the company really cares about its community and the environment (they support lots of non-profits and have a gear recycling/re-use program). Finally, they're locally and family owned -- keep the dollars in the community!!

I actually purchased on-line. I wanted it known that I spent almost three hours trying to find the biking helmet rear-view mirror that I wanted. All vendors were out of stock, charged $15 for delivery, and were located remotely. I found you right in my own backyard and you didn't charge for delivery of the two items I ordered. I love your mission, your message, and your community. You are now my go-to for all my biking (and other sports) needs. Thank you so much.

Yes! I just placed my hands on the O'Neill Epic 4/3mm Wetsuit in youth size 14 at Berkeley. For a 12, we welcome you to order one in person or through our web store to deliver to Berkeley, another store of your choice, or wherever you'd like for free! We also have both 12 and 14 in the girls specific version of the suit at Berkeley now.
