Ingredients I got from here to make my own chirashi bowl and nigiri. Also cold tofu appetizer to go with it. Love this supermarket for when I’m craving some quality sushi grade salmon and toro belly.

Exceptional Japanese market with some of the area’s absolute top sushi grade fish. You’d have to go hundreds of miles to find a better place. Some interest mainstay items from the Japanese islands as well, and even more selection if you are adventurous or can actually read Japanese on the packaging. On a standard day you’ll find Toro, Hamachi, Hon Hamachi, Octopus (tako), uni (sea urchin), multiple kinds of salmon, and that’s JUST the sushi grade stuff! They’ll also have 30-40 other kinds of fish and seafood. The sushi fish comes in beautifully pre-cut portions that remove all the annoyance of prep work, without cutting them too small to make accurate nigiri. Brilliant and appreciated. Not a ton of distinction between anything that’s sustainable / organic, so do keep an eye on ingredient labels! Plenty of good stuff to be found, though. Parking is a nightmare with just a tiny handful of spots, so try going around the corner to the dollar store’s larger lot. Pics are sushi I made with their fish. July 2022.

Good little grocery store if you're in need of some real Japanese goods, but come early on Sunday if you're hoping to get some of the prepared foods they're known for! We came by right after lunch and almost everything was gone! Good selection of fresh fish and Japanese sake.

Very fish sushi and sashimi! There was a long line if you buy bigger piece! I only bought totoro and hamachi block and asked them to cut for me so I could have it right away! Affordable and fresh! Totoro is so buttery! Will come back!

It is open. Parking is limited, but there is plenty of street parking.
They usually do but can sell out on busy times. Best to call them directly on that day.

Cathy, Tokyo has crabs; however, do they have at least 3-lbs. crabs --- I don't know. You should go & que (because there is a 30 mins. wait). If you go, go early (9-ish). You can 'phone @ 9 if don't want to go. The crabs are good. Cheers Karen

You should call & ask the man @ fish counter: I haven't seen it (Flying fish). Perhaps it can be ordered. He knows fish.
I haven't bought flying fish myself. You'll want to ask the fish department in person. It might be a limited stock thing if they have it.
Sometimes but you can call and ask. They prepare fresh sushi
I dont think they have a delivery services.
they have many of on Wednesday 4/22
I would call ahead and ask.
No, try Oakland Chinatown or Ranch 99 market.
You probably can but depend on the catch that day. Call them for more info
i recommend giving them a call for specifics and am confident that if they don't, they can get them for you
They never answer their phone. And, they're closed today.
I know they have crabs they probably have both
They might be, I would call them before venturing over.

I have gotten catfish at Tokyo Fish Market and it was so fresh, really good.
Check the open refrigerated shelves along the left wall of the store. All sorts of pickled stuff on those shelves.
It's a retail store so whenever they are open.
