Historic Hope Plantation

My wife and I stopped by Historic Hope Plantation today and received a warm welcome. We received a first class tour of the visitor center which was very informative and then Barbara took us on a two hour tour of the plantation house, the kitchen and the King-Bazemore House. This house is a gem of NC history and must be preserved. It is beautiful inside and out and I felt as though I had literally stepped back in time 200-225 years. Please visit if you can and support the preservation that still needs to be done.

We really enjoyed a detailed tour of the houses here by the docent! All of our questions were answered and we felt as if we were walking in a history book. Highly recommend!

Nice bit of NC history, educational tour with small group, $12 each adult (11.17.19), beautiful home, early local furnishings, houses have lots of stairs (may be an issue for those with disabilities) but still worth a visit
