Absolutely beautiful winery. If you are looking for a venue that has class and personality look no further. I have been to many weddings and toured even more venues planning my own but Smithfield winery outshines them all. The owner is an absolute gem and so down to earth, she takes time to get to know her clients and brides to ensure they get their dream day. I don’t find myself traveling to Smithfield often but this winery will ensure I keep returning. Also the wine is out of this world, a glass I will never forget.

We attended a wedding at the Smithfield Winery in September and it was so classy and beautiful. The venue has the option for indoor and outdoor accommodations. It has the perfect vibe for an intimate ceremony, but plenty of room to break it down on the dance floor.

My granddaughter was married at the winery over the Labor Day weekend. It was magical as the ambiance is totally European like a Winstube in Germany with the beautiful candles, flowers and lights. The wine tasting room was decorated as the chapel with a cross and roses across the barrels, unbelievable. The flower arrangements were tall and overflowing. All the flowers were designed by Corrie Patterson of Olde Towne Florist of Portsmouth. By the way, while you are there you must taste the wines they are Devine. They placed the decanters of wine on the tables which really added to the European flair. Natasha was always on task the entire evening like a wedding planner on sight. It is a must for any venue!!! First of all Natasha was an incredible and gracious host! The customer service here and attention to detail was above and beyond anything we have experienced both in and outside of the area. My wedding was a night to remember and the venue was simply spectacular with it’s gorgeous copper doors and exposed brick it was the perfect compliment to our style. We barely had to spend any money on decorating because of the space being practically wedding ready. We got ready at the Smithfield Inn (which is literally less than a block away) and had both our ceremony and reception onsite. I could go on and on for days about how much we love this venue and Natasha (the owner). We were able to even serve the in house wine Southern Bubbly and it was a huge hit! Not to mention she was the only venue we visited that was completely transparent about their pricing and had no additional service fees or sneaky food/alcohol minimums. We looked at and toured several venues in the area and hands down Smithfield Winery was the best decision we could have ever made for our wedding day. We can’t thank Natasha enough for our experience and we will continue to sing her praises!
