Beautiful trails and the beach is very nice. Shallow water up to the waist and didn't see any jelly fish.

Quiet and calm, perfect for kids and friendly dogs. You'll definitely need a bath after though and some river shoes to protect little feet from the sharp rocks.

Fantastic and often empty beach with a wooded park. Lots of wildlife in the area. Tons of deer with fawns in the summer, eagles, occasional dolphin. Really like it because it is quiet and peaceful.

Fort Boykin was a very nice trip. It was neat and clean. The facilities (rest rooms) were also neat, clean, and modern. During our most recent trip, a young couple were married in a small corner of the park. There was plenty of parking and there is access to the James River with a nice beach.
