i called asking if this was a non emergency number and the dispatch person got an attitude with me and got really dismissive when i was talking about the crime. i tried to confirm if i should go to this station in person but got hung up on. i called back asking for a manager and the person said there was none available.

I'm a security guard at an coop in the northern police district. I have no problem with the police officers. 4 stars only because the dispatchers are frustrating to deal with. I have had incidents where the dispatchers were unhelpful. We have started to ask the residents who are politically involved with city government to call in. What ever phone numbers they have access to gets results. Once the actual officers arrive they are great professionals.
