Rock the River Fredericksburg, held water events on the Rappahannock River, which included 5 mile race competition, finish line between Old Mill Park and Falmouth Beach.

Enjoyed my visit here very much. It's quite busy here even early in the morning but it's beautiful and there are nice walking paths that are paved and accessible. A really nice historic area if you are into seeing that type of thing. Occasional benches to sit along the paved walking path. Great location for birding, lots of birds here, although it's quite loud because of the traffic. Beautiful swallow species and Ospreys and Bald Eagles that are easy to see here. The parking lot at Falmouth beach is all gravel and it was pretty packed at 8am when I got there.

Yes, but limited do to the continued clean up from the flooding in 2018
Yes, but it's limited. You have to get there early otherwise you have to bring your own grill and picnic table. It's on a first come basis, no reservation.
