Gilman kitchens and baths is an excellent store that provides quality products and advise about re-designing your kitchen and bath. The expertise is excellent and their product is high quality. They also have a handyperson to help fix anything that goes wrong. If you need a new kitchen and/or bath this is the place to go. There is a screen department at this store which is excellent.

Great showroom with very knowledgeable designers. I remodeled my kitchen and 2 baths with Gilmans and couldn't be happier with the design and quality of products. I always try and support local family owned business' and Gilmans is exactly that!

I used Gilmans for a remodel of an out of date master bathroom in our condo in San Francisco, replacing everything in it, but especially changing out a tub for a walk-in shower. Key to our decision to us them was that our primary residence is 200 miles away so we would be monitoring the project remotely. I was attracted to their range of services, including a project portal, project supervisor, design consultant, and project photos, as well as the quality of their work (viewing past reviews and project pictures). While their quote was higher than most, I was not at all disappointed in the outcome, especially the tile work which was tricky to install since the tiles chosen for the shower wall were small triangles of different 3-D surfaces. I would highly recommend them and thoroughly enjoyed working with Trisha and Rick P.

Maybe it is complacency or the high demand for contractors in SF. But they don't accept credit cards online or over the phone. They have difficulty making commitments and estimating timelines. And the prices are likely much higher than others, but they don't offer service to off-set those costs. I won't be using them again. Though our cabinets do look nice though here is a photo from when we had another installer put them in and he found that the pulls that had been ordered did not fit. They were supposed to be installed by Gilman and they failed to show up. This is just basic stuff. Come when you say you'll come, order the correct materials, and make it simple to pay for them. In all categories Gilman's failed. I thought I was paying more for good service and a simple job. I paid more for a major headache.
