Chamberlain SD Rest Area facility

A favorite stop of ours on the Missouri river. A great keel boat exhibit inside and the dignity statue outside (gigantic Sacagawea statue) we stop for lunch when traveling and eat at one of the numerous picnic tables. Tones of history and a great view. Also the SD teepee is always something the kids enjoy.

Great place to stop from long trip, especially when heavy rain, windy and lightning all the time. It was crazy night, lightning on the skies all night during the stop

So clean! Beautiful views. It was a good stopping point on i90. We walked down the path a bit and enjoyed the outside art. The inside area (besides the bathrooms) was closed seasonally, but will be opening back up in May.

Not bad for a rest stop! Plenty of parking, clean restrooms, decent area for dogs to get out and stretch. There’s are a few short trails to walk here also. The view is also great! Plenty of open grass area for dogs. Highly recommend stopping here on your way through.
