This is a very family friendly hotel. Amenities are typical for a nice Hilton. There seemed to be a shortage of towels during our stay. There were 3 adults in our room, but they only gave us 2 sets and it took quite a bit of calling the front desk, housekeeping, etc. to get the towels we needed. Room was very clean and updated. We were in town for a birthday party at Martial Cottle Park, and we think South San Jose is really nice....more in the "country". There are really nice areas for relaxing with a drink in the courtyard area, well lit and propane heaters are available. We would stay again.

There was a wedding happening this weekend. We were not told about the wedding until check in, which fine, many hotels have weddings. However this is a THREE DAY AND NIGHT event (we were just told by one of the staff members). We couldn’t even get to our room without walking through the event. There was also food prep happening in the hallway to our rooms along with trash and trays. Takes away from the ambiance of the hotel. We couldn’t utilize the outdoor fire pit space or patio because it was taken over by the wedding and guests again for three days. There was a parade happening through the street at 10:20 am so forget having a relaxing morning. The music was not just wedding loud, but as if you were at an EDM rager until 11pm. The floor actually shook because of how loud it was. Very sad to have paid over $550 for two nights in what honestly was a small room (where we had to spend most of our time due to the wedding events) to not utilize the amenities or enjoy our time and relax because they were overrun with all of these people. To edit, the manager was supposed to reach out Monday or Tuesday and did not. So I called Tuesday, left a message with the manager and now it’s Friday and I have still not heard back from anyone. I called today and they lady tells me she will send another email. I tried to reach out to the support link that the Hilton provided in response to my review and it is a chat bot.

The hotel is a historic Manson with hotel rooms added in the back. The main building does look gorgeous but the hotel rooms were pretty standard. While the room is nice and clean, it is a bit small. I also agreed with other people’s comments that they really need to add more staff to improve the service. P.S. this is a popular venue for wedding and other corporate events. If you want to avoid the party noise in the evening, ask for a room away from the lawn and pool area.

This was really interesting. Staff is super kind and fun. The experience of the hotel is really cool yet you walk around wondering if this place is haunted, the artwork doesn’t help the feeling haha! Cool spot for an event but there isn’t much at all to do or see outside of the property.
