I'm relatively new to Eugene (and OR) but I've been bird watching for years. My favorite birds to view are water/shore related birds so this reservoir and the area that these paths cover offer spectacular viewing opportunities for those kinds of birds. Recently, I was beyond happy to have spot out on the reservoir my favorite kinds of birds: pelicans! There was a group of 7 and later found out these American white pelicans frequent here every summer. Looking forward to getting out on the water soon and exploring more the of the marsh habitat.
