It's a great place to go camping with the family. You must be active duty or retired military service to use the facility, but it can't be beat for the price. Only drawback is that it is a military warehouse base so parts of it looks very industrial, but the campground is very nice with a lot of places for hiking and fishing. You can also rent boats, kayaks, and canoes.

Why does the Navy need a private golf course. Shame.

Went on a Sunday drive this base has a pool, golf course and cottages. This is everything you need to get away on a weekend.

Storage for naval supplies and support and they also have an MWR campground.
