My disability severance pay was taxed back in 2016 and I have been trying to get it back since. Needless to say, I consider the IRS a modern day Thieves Guild. There are, however, decent people who work there. Miss Pressley was patient, understanding, and promptly supplied the information I needed. My payment will be almost 3 years late, but I finally know the status of it.

Same boat. I called and was told that the only way to check status was the app. If it says processing you're good, just have to wait. If it says rejected the. You can reach out to them and get somewhere.

Is it a small refund if so then someone messed up and you over paid, if it is a larger refund I would call

Yes you have to call and set up a payment plan. Keep your payment low ( you never know what can happen ) you can always pay more, but your not obligated to a high payment
