Owner was acting bipolar. Docks are in shambles and are quickly falling apart. My wife and I were turned away due to what I only see as racial motivation due to her being of color which angered me. Well, we found a home with Spring Cove Marina. Everyone is very professional there and their docks/slips/peirs are up to par and aren't in shambles. We weren't judged and felt right at home at Spring Cove Marina. Stay away from Calvert Marina.

The staff at Calvert Marina Solomons were very friendly and extremely helpful. The marina has floating docks, clean bathrooms, and a courtesy car for transient guests and is close to groceries, and west marine. Fuel and ice are available onsite, and their fuel prices are very reasonable. Overall our stay was a great 5 star experience.

I have been a slip holder in Calvert Marina for over 5 years and have checked all the other marinas in the area and found Calvert to be tops in all areas including a gracious staff and excellently kept grounds and a very safe family environment. It is removed from the town proper just enough to be private, safe and quiet but not so far as to be isolated from the activities. The slips are well maintained and a pool and laundry and small library for rainy days. The beautiful open green spaces makes it the largest, nicest marina in the area to my knowledge. The staff treat you like your the only one they need to help that day. READ: the nicest people I've met on my travels so far! They are all this AND the rates are VERY reasonable and the owner Matt will help you out in any way he can...even loans his car out if you need it badly! Its like being at home that's it!
