Are there taxis generally milling about when the train arrives? Or is Lyft/Uber the preferred pickup options? Are Uber/lyft long waits if no taxis present? Trying to get a sense of options for a Saturday first train morning arrival for a senior citizen.

Yes they are, but suggest an Uber. They generally will take several passengers. This could delay your drop-off time, depending on your destination.
