Great area for outdoor fun!

Had a really fun time here and it does have a very peaceful location, overlooking the marshes, close to wallops so you can watch military aircraft sometimes, and is close to Chincoteague and Assateague. But I do have a few issues with this campsite, especially the changes that have taken place recently. There are no longer any dumpsters here, so instead you have to drive down the road to the municipal dump, which is a bit inconvenient, however it isn't too bad. Then there is the fact about the pool passes. You used to need only one ID to get a whole group into the pool and now it takes an ID for each person, or else you will have to buy relatively expensive pool passes that let each person in for only one day. These changes are very upsetting, especially if you remember the more recent better days.

I enjoy coming to trails end. For me it is a quiet place to sit with my kids and enjoy being away from society for a while

Absolutely amazing place. So peaceful and serene quiet yet has a lot going on.. People come down for weekends at a time or have some that live year round when walking through the neighborhood you are greeted with children on bikes all people of all ages walking dogs smiles on everybody's face and everybody always waves and says hello it feels like you stepped back in time to experience life before the world became digital.
