I have been climbing here for over 10 years and I find the staff and other climbers to be much like you would find in the old school climbing community: so very friendly and helpful. The route-setting is so well thought out, very technical and always aimed at teaching some particular skills. I have brought many people to this gym to introduce them to climbing as it is such a welcoming atmosphere. Like a second home for me. The 75' elevator shaft is one of the highest indoor rock walls in NE and so much fun! I would like to make a special shout out to Chris M, who is usually the main staff member there when I climb. He is so helpful, and even recently designed a route upon special request to make the overhanging roof wall more accessible/approachable for my climbing partner. And it was a huge success!! Thank you Chris!! Also, Chris's effective teaching style for new climbers is wonderful and they seem to not only appreciate his humor, but also his attention to detail. Watching him manage a birthday party of 15 or more 6-year-olds is a miracle to behold, as he not only makes sure every climber or onlooker is safe, but also ensures every participant is having a fun experience. We so appreciate staff members like Chris.

Understaffed great place great people but the sfaff while friendly were not very good at teaching us how to use equipment and I asked for clarification and still almost got very hurt on the autobilet. He was very distracted as he was teaching another couple people, a mother, myself, and supervising a birthday party. Anyone would have been distracted but it just seems a little disorganized and a little pricey for what you get. 10 dollars to rent the harness even with a subscription? For 65 dollars I shouldnt have to pay for harness rentals. Also I accidentally broke the autobillet which I feel bad about but the staff member was confident he had instructed me enough and he hadnt because I went word for word off whst he said and almost got burt and vroke the billet in the process as I was shaken up and not thinking and didnt think to hook the cord back on to the orange anchor.

I have been a handful of times so far, since I’m new to the area. The good: price, locality, friendliness of some fellow climbers, and the really cool elevator shaft climbing area. Needs improvement: the staff member with the American flag hat. He visibly treated me like I didn’t belong there, and really hammed up/flirted with some of the climbers there which made me feel uncomfortable for them as well. I was going to purchase a 10-class pass, but I felt unwelcome and will invest elsewhere for the time being. This is based on not one, but 3 visits. The other staff are either neutral or friendly. I’ll return just because of the lack of options in the area, and just enjoy what this place has to offer regardless of the gatekeeping attitude of that one person. So climbers, this place is still worth the visit as a solid back up if you live locally.

Great place for indoor rock climbing, the people working there are great at teaching you how to do all the things if you're a beginner and are super fun and funny, really chill place and good for groups

Here are their rates and hours. Cost will vary based on gear you own and whether you plan to pay for day pass, punch card, membership, etc. https://verticaldreams.com/rates-hours/
Yeah, they do (the're called boulder walls btw). They have anywhere from a V0 (easy) to I think a V8(pretty flipping hard). They have top-roping and an elevator shaft to climb as well. I personally think they have some of the best bouldering. Good luck man!
Yes, there are boulder routes all the way up to V6 and beyond.
No. Having used them before, I am glad to have finally learned how to really belay at Vertical Dreams. You need that skill for climbing too.
Any age, if you are under 18 you just need a parent or a guardian to sign the liability waiver.
