Our dining experience at Rääs was absolutely delightful!! Not only was the staff amazing and helpful with making suggestions but the food was top notch! The quality and flavors of the food teleported us back to India for the 3 hours we were there. In addition to their main menu they have an exclusively vegan menu with a mouthwatering selection. The Smoked Eggplant Chokah was absolutely delicious as was their vegan bread and chili garlic naan *drool*. I ordered the Saag Paneer Kofta and the flavors and textures were divine! Featured in Forbes magazine, the chef is a true master of his art and passionate about his craft. You can taste the love in every dish.

Raas is a beautiful Indian restaurant located in a restored victorian house in downtown Lewes, Delaware. The ambiance is excellent and there is a front porch that offers outside dining. Each of the inside tables has an outlet for charging phones, etc., which is convenient. Just my wife and I were dining at Raas on this evening. We started with drinks- she had a spicy mango margarita, which was definitely spicy and I had a 1947 beer (wish they had more Indian beers). For an appetizer we had the Cauliflower Manchurian- which were spcy fritters with a dipping sauce- delicious but don't order this dish if you can't handle hot. For dinner, I had the deconstructed Pork Vindaloo and my wife had the Lamb Shank roganjosh. Both dishes were well presented. The lamb shank is served upright in a small bucket of sauce, which makes it a little messy to get onto your plate- you pretty much have to grab it with your hands. I've been to Indian restaurants where you eat with your hands, but I don't think they intended this to be a hands-on experience. The roganjosh sauce itself was just OK. Slightly bland. The vindaloo was also bland. The pork was cooked perfectly but pork tenderloin is very bland on its own, and the deconstructed preparation means that the pork did not cook in the sauce and didn't absorb any flavor. The vindaloo sauce served on the side simply didn't make up for the bland pork. I applaud their ingenuity but the flavor was simply lacking. Total for the three dishes, two drinks and an order of butter naan was $120 before tip. We will definitely go back to Raas but would not be getting either of those entrees again. We will definitely get the Cauliflower Manchurian again. There are many vegan options on the menu, so we will visit again in summer when our vegan family and friends are in town Will update my review after trying some other entrees.

All around fantastic experience. The building is so cozy and beautifully decorated and so clean. Our waiter (believe his name was David from California) made great recommendations.. he is a truly classy guy who made our experience very special for us. The food was 10/5 stars and I think that’s all you need to know. Perfectly cooked, and out of this world taste. You can tell there is care put into each dish. We shared our meals as we didn’t want leftovers and it was plenty. cannot wait to be in the area again to visit this wonderful place once again

Incredible experience. The food was phenomenal with a separate vegan menu. The food presentation was beautiful, the cocktails divine, and our server David was outstanding. We were well taken care of and well fed. Thanks again, David, it was so nice to meet you.

Entire staff wears masks, was able to see kitchen through window...everyone was wearing gloves. Customers need to wear mask in and also anytime you are not eating or drinking or get up to use restrooms.
