Only 1 register open and same person doing the service desk duties such as returns and pickups. Rediculous on a weekend afternoon...

Quiet clean organized store that is never busy whenever I visited in the past. Poor sales and/or problematic customers may have contributed to this store having the worst customer service among all the BBB stores starting with one of their managers who is the most unpleasant BBB employee that I have ever encountered. He acted unethically trying to game the situation with me and did so in such an abrasive rude way over a measly $9 return for a brand new unopened item which was my first return to BBB in 2-3 years despite spending many hundreds of dollars buying pricy kitchen appliances from BBB during that time. In my whole 20 year history, I have never caused any problems for BBB as a customer and made few returns none of which were a high dollar amount. This was my first conflict ever where the manager claimed my item was non returnable though receipt still pulled up and 2 different online customer service reps said my item is returnable to store or by prepaid mail (turns out there is some software glitch between online and in store policies). BBB Hingham wanted me to hand over my license (invasion of privacy) where it goes into their 3rd party database that tracks and bans customers for suspected fraud to turn my receipted return into a non receipted store credit that would be MUCH LESS than what I paid for. If they/this manager had customer service skills to approach me the right way, he highly likely would have been able to negotiate/convince me to forget the $9 and just keep the item. Instead he pushed all the wrong buttons from the start and kept escalating the situation rather than the opposite. Although BBB online customer service was absolutely fantastic in resolving this issue for me, the in store experience left such a bad impression, I’ve stopped shopping BBB for the time being. I had a pricy electric kettle already in my online cart which I removed and ordered from Kohls instead due to this experience. Recently bought a very nice air purifier from Kohl’s as well. No need to shop BBB with everyone else offering much better customer service.

I went into Bed Bath and Beyond and I had my mask in my hand to put it on, but forgot to put it right on as I was distracted by an important phone call. Then a man that worked there yelled at me "DO YOU HAVE A MASK" " I said yes so I said i am so sorry I forgot, thank you for telling me then he YELLED PUT IT ON" I WAS BUT HE KEPT snapping at me. He made me very upset. I didnt deserve that treatment, I always wear my mask but I was distracted and it was very important i was grateful for the reminder. I just didnt deserve to be treated so disrespectfully. The other people working in the store were kind and helpful.

I would literary not go any place else for what they have! There is nothing more relaxing than walking around here on a summer day. I really enjoy walking through the kitchen supply section and the beds. The tech section is cool as well! They really have everything, though. The people are nice and I would totally want to have my wedding registry here because they have everything!
