Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Arrived late following wake services for my brother-in-law. The staff was so friendly and helpful to accommodate 18 of us at such a last minute time. I've actually never had a bad experience at any Olive Garden, but this particular one [Loop Mall, Methuen MA] has definitely been my favorite.

Well, we decided to give Olive Garden another chance after a bad experience at another local one…and low and behold…an insect 🐜 wiggling and all, this is not the first time nor the second time we have been highly disappointed with Olive Garden. Food should be inspected in the kitchen prior to being served…but thanks for waiving the fee for our $2 drinks, it was definitely worth getting ant soup 🙂 for sure will not be back.

Olive Garden is a known quantity, and I'd say this restaurant is on-brand. You come for a basic (if somewhat heavily covered in sauce) Italian dining experience, and that's what you get. The servers are usually a little hard to find, but the managers are very attentive, and if you go for your birthday they'll sing to you and bring out a free dessert of your choice (with a customize bit of decoration). That's very nice.

My sister and I visited today, and it was BUSY! We didn't want to wait 45 minutes+ for a table, so we sat at the bar. She got unlimited soup, salad, and bread sticks, and I got stuffed tortellini with chicken. Both were delicious! The bartender was our server, and she was great! Perfect meal to fill our bellies before we went shopping 😁
