Miles Smith Farm is one of my favorite places! The owners and staff are wonderful, greet us by name, remember our favorite products ... They really love and care for their animals, and as a sensitive soul (who still loves steak and cheeseburgers), it really does me good to see that. Also, the community of animals who live on the farm permanently have become one of the best parts of my week when we visit! Dixie and Pixie the goats, and Eleanor the donkey love to have visitors and be pet - the pigs are always happy to see you, and now the ducks follow you around. I feel like a Disney Princess, but without the singing. If you are in the area, it is absolutely worth a visit!

My husband and I took our 4 year old grandson to see the animals. We had a blast. Thought he might be afraid of the Oxen and the 800+ pound pigs but he was completely comfortable. He sat on the Oxen for a photo and he wanted to get in the cage with the pigs. The young girls that were there playing with the pigs and talking with us really made the visit to the farm extra special! Highly recommend this visit and it's not just for the little ones!

I visited the farm on February 13th for their open house to raise money for their learning center. As I began the long drive up the hill to the farmhouse I saw the beauty of nature all around me. The view from the top is breathtaking and the presence of so many majestic animals took my breath away. We were greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable young girl who explained everything to use and off we went for the self guided tour. At every station was information about the animals and food to give them. The mini and large pigs, goats, donkey, ducks, horses and wandering sheep were all a treasure to behold. To be able to pet the baby and full grown cattle was icing on the cake! I am looking forward to bring my grandsons this summer!

I took my grandkids to the farm today for the tour. We had the best time. Animals are awesome. Such a nice place. Everyone so nice. Made so many memories. We can't wait to go back!

We won't do the calf, but we can do a full grown cow. A full grown cow would yield about 400 lbs of meat. The "hanging weight" would be about 700 lbs, and the "live" weight would be about 1000 to 1100 lbs. Of course, you would get to specify how the meat from the "hanging weight" carcass is cut.
Most of what is in stock, and their prices are on the website milessmithfarm.com
They'll be going there soon - when there's not so much sun.
Yes, we do sell oxtail.
