Literally would’ve rated it no stars if that were an option. Out of my four psych hospital experiences, this one left me by far the most traumatized and scared.

While I cannot speak to the care received at this facility I can speak to the process of attempting to place a loved one in their care. It was impossible. They say they take walk ins for assessments and evaluations. This is not true. It is a fight to get an appointment and they do everything to dissuade you. I was told they do not have waiting lists to enter the facility. When I was told to call by an administrator because a bed would be opening up admissions would not confirm. They told me to call in the morning to see if their would be an actual discharge and then gave the bed away during the night. I was told to call for an assessment the next day. I had to fight to get the appointment, going through two admissions staff members. I was told to call back the day of the appointment to make sure there was a bed or there was no point coming to the appointment, we would have to wait in the er if deemed eligible. The day of the appointment I was called by an administrator to say they cannot take my family member because the suicide attempt included trying to swallow small objects. The administrator is ineffective and fell to the wims of admission staff because I had to get pushy to try to get the care recommended for my loved one. I went back to the person who recommended this facility and told her I would never recommend them to anyone. They added more trauma to an already traumatic event. Obviously their first priority is not patients or potential patients. Also admissions staffs could not or would not answer questions related to whether a patient could be admitted with stitches. This should be a firm answer from the facility that all admissions staff should be privy to.
