I’ve been going to this bakery for over a year since we moved to the area. And I had found my absolute favorite carrot cake - I literally get cravings for it and nowhere else makes it the way they do. Needless to say, I’ve gotten it countless times. BUT today, it was an absolute disappointment- they changed the cake!!! The cake itself was lighter in color, more dense (not fluffy), dry, lacking in flavor, had 3 thin layers with icing in between, and the frosting on top was dry and disgusting! I usually love the soft cream cheese frosting it usually comes with. I had to serve it to my guests since it was the only dessert I had on hand, but I felt terrible serving after I told everyone about my favorite carrot cake…and this was NOT it. Unless they reply to me here explaining what happened, I won’t be going back.

We visited Cardinali Bakery for their Croissant but most pastries ran out at about 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. We were kind of disappointed but we might plan to come earlier next time. The options of their dessert were various and we had difficulties making up our decisions. The staff was friendly and made some recommendations, so we had a bag of mini biscotti and cookies.
