I have to agree with another individual’s frustration with this humane society. We submitted an application for a cat and they called asking for more information (left a message). Called back that night explaining my availability and didn’t hear back for the remainder of the week. Even my husband called THREE TIMES in one day, only to get their message machine each time. I called again today asking that they get back regarding that very same application. Nothing. Thankfully there are other humane societies that actually respond to phone calls the first time around.

It's been 3 years since we adopted our little Hershey..she was such a scared little girl and has come along way..she loves her multiple daily boat rides..there isn't a day that she doesn't make us smile...thank you for letting us be her forever home..

I submitted an online application for a dog that was listed on their website over a month ago, and never got a response. It's rude and inconsiderate to not bother replying to people who have shown interest and taken the time to fill out an application to adopt a pet. They update theirFacebook page but don't respond to inquiries. You can go ahead and withdraw the application.... I would have rather adopted a shelter dog that needs a forever home, but I'll just go ahead and get a puppy from a pet store, back yard breeder or a puppy mill instead. At least they respond to inquiries... Quick, easy and no questions asked.

My 8 year old golden retriever past away recently. I am looking for a puppy. Please let me know what breeds you have. Thank you.
Thank you Tyler Remillard. You would be surprised how well truck dogs are treated Spoiled lol. I'm miss my baby. When I'd go in for food or shower I would come out to her waiting in window. Our trucks are set to idle in summer for air. In winter have a bunk heater. Drivers also have a site Trucking fur babies. We share pics, stories, get advice from each other.
Copy and paste this link in your browser and you'll find information on volunteering. https://www.sterlingshelter.org/animal-shelter/how-you-can-help
This is on their website. https://nhhumane.org/programs/snap-program
They usually prefer any abused or neglected stray or any cat owned that the person calls local PD. Last I heard there's either 60-100 to drop them off unless you prove you just can't take care of them anymore.
Most likely if the dog was adopted there
I would contact Franklin animal shelter,I had two cats who belong to an elderly lady who passed away,I told them they needed to stay together and they did, they found a home together.
You can call the humane society but if your not able to get ahold of anyone call the police and report it.
They get new puppies and young dogs in all the time. They always tell you to keep checking their website for updated available dogs. So I'd check there first. If they don't have any on the page, keep checking back or call.
Yes they do. Once a month
They'll want to make sure that any animal is a good fit for your home and lifestyle at first but sure, they have kittens and cats.
This will help https://nhhumane.org/donate/wish-list
Not really seeing a question here but it does deserve a response. It costs more money to be open than closed. It's probably not cost effective to be open when it's convenient for YOU. If you and your friends were there everyday volunteering I'm willing to bet they could be open everyday at 6am. BTW... they are still taking care if these animals even even they aren't open... It's a 24/7 thing!
You may get lucky when you adopt and someones paid most of the fee to help them get homes... Cats are anywhere between 60-120 and dogs are 200+. Well worth the money though. They come shots, check ups, neutered or spayed, and sometimes already micro chipped. If not then its $25 to have that done.
We have a low-cost spay/neuter program called SNAP, the application can be found on our website
Yes if it is an actual stray
Was it within their posted hours? 12-5pm on Thursdays.
Either way, the shelter will advise you.
Fish and game is who you call
I just found it but thank you. When are petco's? Do you know how often?
Go directly to the website There is a application process
Yeah, I think you should. I brought a group of feral kittens recently and they'll take just about any cat.
Yes, the Humane Society does spay and neuter animals. There are several cost for this service depended on economics.
