Keep the bears safe and all your food locked inside your car A black bear left paw prints on my car when investigating the contents. I expect it was more curious than anything and I'm not sure it even realized I was in my car. It didn't linger, walked past the only other car in the lot and quickly moved on. I love having safe encounters with area wildlife.πŸ˜…

Great day hike. If you make it to Camp its so worth it. Plan on making it to the top this year

Wonderful trail up to chorcura, we did a 10 mile loop branching off the trail. Part of the 52 with a view. As long as you’re hydrated it’s not too challenging if you don’t mind heights and rock scrambling. If you’re doing it with a dog use mushers or go when it’s not too hot out as all the hot rock can hurt their pads. DO NOT DO THIS TRAIL IN WINTER. It would be far to icy and dangerous.

This is an excellent trail to take to the summit of Mount Chocorua. You might want to turn off the main trail and hike the Carter Ledges Trail so you can get additional views from the Three Sisters. Regardless of the trails you take you'll be rewarded with great views of the White Mountains. Watch for the Piper Trail sign on Route 16 because it can be tricky. The actual trailhead is behind some buildings so it's easy to miss.

If you're in the parking lot, the trail starts in the opposite corner from the bathrooms. Near the kiosk.
