I work for a designer hardware showroom in Burlington and when I had a customer call, needing hinge screws that we did not have in-stock, I called Aaron at Spartan. Aaron literally "jogged" back and forth from the front of the store to the back, a couple of times, to check stock on the specific screws my customer needed. I was able to call my customer back and send him up the street to Spartan to pick them up. Now my customer can install his client's front door in this freezing weather! Everyone is happy! Thanks for the hustle, Aaron!!

Staff is really friendly and it's a great place to get Benjamin Moore paint. Generally higher prices than the big box stores, but a great selection and you're supporting a neighborhood store.

Not only a well stocked hardware with a helpful & knowledgeable staff but a great source of entertainment for our two year old grandson, an excellent resource for Stoneham.

The store itself is clean and seemingly well maintained. If it was not for that fact I'd rate it one single star. If I go into your store and you're having a conversation with somebody at the front, and you're behind the register, you need to strongly consider implementing at least one of these changes: A) Learn to multi task. There are zero people in line. I shouldn't be waiting 5 minutes to check out $5 worth of hardware when nobody is even in front of me in line. B) Ask one of the (at minimum, that i saw) 2 other associates that aren't helping customers at that moment to helm the register while you chat it up. C) At least step away from the register that you aren't using so that there wouldn't even be an expectation that I'd receive timely service from you. It comes down to the ability/willingness to multi task, how you choose to present your body language (standing at an empty register implies readiness to help), and simply not making me stand there in the middle of the afternoon wasting my time. Ultimately I have only myself to blame for this experience. I passed right by Round's hardware right up the road and should have just given them all $5.38 of my valuable business. I encourage anybody associated with the management of Spartan hardware to simply walk into Round's one day and observe the placement of their personnel. It might open your eyes.

Hi Marta, We mix all Benjamin Moore colors on demand in whichever sheen you would like. Prices range from $40-70 for a gallon.
Yes we do. Pay first, then drive around back for the fill! Be aware, propane fills stop 30 minutes before the store closes.
As of 7/1/2018 - Ben Moore samples cost $6.99 and come as a pint.
