My favorite place for morning sunrise walks. A peacefully tranquil beauty surrounds the area, and uplifts the spirit. I hope no one reads this and it stays unpopulated forever, so my walking girlfriends and I can enjoy it's quiet serenity for years to come 😌 .

Beautiful park, huge, and well maintained with ample parking. (Four separate parking areas, and there is no charge for either entry or parking.) There are a large number of picnic tables with plenty available to shelter during inclement weather, playground for the kids, and barbecues for the adults. Softball field, basketball courts, shuffleboard, handball courts, and, they have acres for their disk golf course (When did it change from Frisbee to disk?), so there is plenty to keep everyone entertained. There are beautiful, large trees throughout the park, and their shade invites you just to relax and enjoy the day. An area to the rear of the park (again with ample parking), is large enough for golfers to practice their swings without worry of injuring someone. Dog friendly, cats not so much. (Ever tried to get a cat to chase a Frisbee) Ample room for those with faithful companions or fur babies. Overall, it's a great place to go whether you take the kids out for the day, or just want a quiet place to enjoy. Should mention that the park is within a quarter mile or so of the Withlacoochee Trail!

The park is beautiful, but not safe for walking if you are at all unsteady. There is only a narrow paved path with vendors encroaching on both sides. In the article in the Nature Coaster, it talks about shuttles from parking. Following directions posted on 41. I asked at least 6 people directing parking. None had any knowledge nor was there anyone in charge . There were empty patrol cars with flashing lights staged near the exits. It was over 1/2 mile of very difficult walking to the entrance. There was no seating for exhausted visitors. After resting against several trees. and almost falling, I guided my guest out of a rear exit where he clung to a fence while I ran about a mile to our vehicle, crept out of the only exit and picked him up. I was close to calling 911 for help. It was all together the worst fair experience I have ever had. Totally unprofessional !!

Wonderful park. Large areas for children to play and be children. Nice little shelter for a social gathering, for a picnic. Shuffle boards, frisby gulf (VERY NICE), 🏀, 🎾, racquetball, courts and the softball field are ALL, very nice and spacious. Bathrooms need some cleaning?

Yes
Nope, just first come first serve
You can resetve them on the citrus county parks and recreation website, there are instructions but you have to create an account. You go to the facility calender to make sure it is not already reserved. There are two pavilions so make sure you get the one you are looking for. The one in the front is smaller but it is right next to the playground, it has 6 picnic tables I think. I believe it says near the playground or something on the selection list. The other one is in the back of the park and has more tables and a larger pavilion.
Yes, you must reserve to be sure you have one.
