This beautiful park is home to the oldest and largest (if not one of the largest) Rose Garden in America! This park is the nearest thing we have in Connecticut to the Central Park in NYC in terms of the vibe of people leisurely picnicking on the grass, etc. The Pond with fountains, ducks and geese is super relaxing. The Pond House Cafe (on the pond) is a great hangout to meet friends and have some ice cream as well. We are blessed to be living in a historic home on the West End just a block from Elizabeth Park.

Perfect place to set up and paint the rose garden... Or dozens of other picturesque locations around the park! My only concern was that they sprayed pesticides all around the grass, where we walk, dogs roll and kids play.

Great place to take an afternoon stroll. Amazing floral fantasy world! Photo shoot, grad shoot, wedding shoot...or take a pause in your fast paced world and stop and smell the roses.

As always spectacular... we chose to go earlier in the morning before a lot of people and loved listening to all the birds, seeing the bees, and butterflies flying around. A fabulous area to walk, bring a picnic, read a book in the scent of roses, of pines... pick a fabulous place, and take a pause. You deserve it.

Currently, there are many flowers in their green houses you can walk through. You can walk through the park anytime. It's even beautiful in the winter. The best time is during the summer, July, when their award winning roses are in bloom. The smell of the roses is amazing.
