Great hike with beautiful views and as my son says a "tall tall tower" at the end.

A steep incline from the parking lot up to the trail along the cliffs. Beautiful views from pocket vista's along the way to the Hublein Tower! Check the days and times.that the tower is open if you are wanting to climb up. Lovely Pavillion area with great views too.

I enjoyed hiking and climbing to the top and the way to the Heublein Tower goes from the trail that starts here. There was no parking area but we parked down there off the road. I really enjoyed climbing up the mountain. At first it is very steep for 15 to 20 mins and then it is good. It takes 40 mins to the tower. But it is good for healthy walk. And also a has good scenery from top. I liked the bird songs along the trail. The tower was closed , but a note said it will be open on Memorial weekend

Delightful place for a nice walk, picnic and view of the tower! Free parking and moderate walk up a well cleared gravel trail to the Heublien Tower if that's where you want to go. Make sure you search for Talcott Mountain State Park in Google maps, DO NOT search for Heublein Tower as Google will send you to the wrong place, no parking and no access to the park from there. No idea why it does that but trust me, it directs you to the wrong place, search for directions to Talcott Mountain State Park.
