Bug infestation, rats near garbage. Had to move because I have kids. Not worth $3,000 a month for a box sized apartment. Police are here almost every other night due to drunk neighbors or people causing problems but leasing would never know because its always after they leave the office. The complex allowed anyone to move in and that was the issue. It used to be quiet with none of these issues until they hired new leasers. Sad.

Some of these reviews are definitely made by management and it’s obvious. I have seen many people move in, then within weeks they’re moving out. The complex is extremely expensive with nothing included making it twice the expense I had to move out. The apartments are poorly built. A friend of mine was able to easily notice there is no insulation in the units, so during the winter you turn the heat down you’ll freeze instantly and feel a huge wind draft. It’s as if the units are paper thin and made to have tenants blast their heat causing their utilities to increase. It’s strange no lie. Especially the many others who have give negative reviews saying the same things you’d think they’d change their policies. These people are extremely money hungry individuals and in no way do they work with their tenants. There is only one trash compactor that continuously fills and is never emptied besides about twice a month. Always a delay in picking up the trash which causes rats to roam around the complex. Do yourself the favor and find another place to rent please. The greed here is severe. No cameras so that’s definitely inaccurate, packages will get stolen there is no safe place for your packages and they will be left either outside or in a huge pile with others of which people can easily steal and have. The fees are insane. Nothing good about this place besides the location. Otherwise the units themselves are small and not worth the 3k+ you’ll be paying. Stay safe everyone and I hope my review gives a thorough overview for you to consider elsewhere.

A waste of time and money. To start, their application is ridiculous, like purchasing a mortgage, they required far too much information. After completing the long application and approval the Hawthorne Commons waited 6 days to deliver a lease agreement. Their lease agreement had a gouging month-to-month price increase that requires months of notice to avoid an auto-renewal on. Even though I immediately rejected this agreement I could not recover my $250 application fee because of the long delay delivering the lease agreement. They also required first month and security deposit to be delivered by cashiers check or money order which is very inconvenient for those that bank online. Luckily I was able to find an identical apartment for $500 less per month that accepts modern banking payment methods and has a MUCH simpler application form.
