It's not easy, in our day and age, to find hard-working honest people to do the things necessary to keep our homes safe. The fellows at Veteran Chimney came to my home, advised me on the condition of my flues, and cleaned them as advertised. Their work was done cleanly and efficiently. Not to mention that I did not feel I was "being taken to the cleaners"!

I contracted with Veteran Chimney & Hearth to have an existing pellet stove insert removed (was poorly installed by All Basics Stove Shop in Merrimack) and a natural gas stove insert installed. Normally I return to a previous company for my business but, as mentioned, the pellet stove generated soot throughout my home and I didn't trust that a natural gas line and stove would be installed safely. After talking with a few other companies I decided to use Veteran Chimney and couldn't be happier with my decision. Everything from the initial inspection, to the stove choices to the actual installation went very smoothly. Especially during the installation Mike's professionalism and attention to detail was apparent in every step of the process. The other employees (Sean and Tommy) were equally professional and the three of them worked together like a well oiled machine. Part of the job included re-pointing the chimney, which looks great. They noticed that another section of the chimney had vegetation growing in an area that could cause a problem in the future. They took it upon themselves to repair that section as well (without asking for additional funds). If you're on the fence about who to use, don't hesitate to contract with Veteran Chimney & Hearth, you won't regret the decision.

Michael came out to my home on 5-23. He was very polite and called me to let me know he was on his way. I scheduled the job for a full chimney cleaning and inspection. Michael educated me on how the chimney works and how to burn my fires. He also showed me that my chimney did not need to be cleaned and that I should wait till next spring to give him a call back. He was very respectful, professional, full of knowledge and overall communicated with me very well. I will be calling back in the spring. Thank you for your service, Mike!
