Amazing local artwork and maritime exhibits, The museum is accessible with parking right in front of the door. And a full parking lot across the street.

Terrific museum, small but full of terrific art. I love it for viewing an hour or two before eating some place local. Be sure to ask for senior discount.

There is so much charm to this small but mighty little gem North of Boston. Great day trip activity. You feel the sea and surf through this collection.

Beautiful, modest sized museum, with a waterfront history larger than life.

Cape Ann residents of all ages can visit for free on all days in January. Seniors get a $2 discount year round, regardless of where they're from.
Best bet is to check their website
Abington is on the Kingston/Plymouth Line (South Station) and Gloucester is on the Newburyport/Rockport Line (North Station). I'd take a taxi between North and South Stations.
You can contact the organizers of the exhibit and check with them
It was part of the Free Fun Fridays which are sponsored by a Massachusetts charity. Ten Fridays starting the last week of June, 10 different venues throughout the state each week. The Cape Ann Museum Free Fun Friday has come and gone. Try again next year. In the meantime, there are lots of other wonderful places still scheduled to be free. Go to HighlandStreet.org for info.
You can get a free pass from Sawyer library I think its like ten bucks
