Thank God for no kill shelters like this one. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten my Loveable Lil Millie. Staff was very helpful and gave Millie a bag of toys and a harness.

We adopted Sloan, who is nosy Rosie.. and a few other cute nicknames... They were careful to make sure she had a forever home. She was only 13 weeks and she has been through she is almost completely potty trained.

Adopted Chief from Cape Ann Rescue just under two months ago and we couldn’t be any happier. He is great with adults, children and other dogs. Since day one, he continues to bring joy to our family. I hope others have similar experiences!!!

Yes, and that's yery nice, there are 2 prices based on the size, they are only made once a year which is the late spring. Thank you.
Yes, we are happy to accept those items -- thanks so much!
They also accept donations of cat and dog food
Hello Crystal! We will be continuing to conduct adoptions virtually, but our adoption process now includes the option to meet your pet virtually or in person at the shelter. In-person visits will be available by appointment for approved adopters. Please check our website for current adoption procedures: capeannanimalaid.org/adopt This information will be updated as changes are made. Thank you!
Hello! We are closed to visitors, but do have animals and are conducting adoptions virtually! Please visit capeannanimalaid.org/adopt to view our COVID adoption policies. Thanks!
Thank you for thinking of us but at this time, we are fully stocked with blankets. Please check back with us again in the future. There is a supply meter on our homepage that also indicates when we're running low on blankets, towels, and newspaper in the future! www.capeannanimalaid.org Thanks!
Hi Tony, Thanks for your question but we do not provide veterinary services for owned animals. A local veterinary office will be able to provide care for your cat. Many thanks!
Thank you for thinking of us! Fleece or cotton blankets are best. We usually cannot accept comforters with filling as they are harder to launder regularly and the dogs tend to tear them open. Thanks again!
No, they don't require that they meet when adopting a cat.
I think that you have to be a certain age, but maybe with the help of a parent you could collect towels, food and toys for them. That is still helping out. I would call the at Cape Ann Animal Shelter and definitely ask what more you could do. Good Luck!
I don't. Try the website. Capeannanimalaid.org
Please do keep an eye on our website for an up to date listing of available animals. www.capeannanimalaid.org Thanks!
CAAA is only able to take cats and dogs.
Have her checked out by a vet for pregnancy, if she is and you have no luck finding her a temporary home a shelter is not a bad option, Cape Ann Animal Shelter may be able to help find I gher a foster home or she may be able to give birth at the shelter. Furry friends are well cared for and loved, since I have volunteered there multiple cats and dogs have given birth there and all went well.
Call the shelter and ask to speak with the volunteer coordinator. She will be able to tell you if there are any openings for volunteers.
They do accept volunteers. Im not sure if they are currently, but if you call the shelter and ask for Katelyn, the volunteer coordinator, she will be able to give you more information.
Yes. Donations can be dropped off anytime the shelter is open.
No fur hair only and small
