The NPR Recreation Center is involved in so many aspects of our community members' lives. For example, my daughter and I volunteered to help sort toys for the Toys for Tots program. T4T is a great charity, one of the many that are assisted by the Center.

I don't like the fact that they do not have the correct best style life preservers for swimming they use the orange around the neck boat life preservers it's my grandchildren have a difficult time swimming today they would have done better with their own arm floaties other than that it was great

If you want to swim good luck. If you aren’t a senior citizen or an unsupervised kid in one of the camps there during the day all summer you don’t matter. I’ve tried going there several times and it’s been a bad experience every time. Don’t advertise swim lanes and not have them anywhere and nothing is open They have slides and diving boards but they are closed too.

A great gym for a nearby workout. Discount for residents. Swimming pools for the young and old. Two full sized gymnasiums for basketball and pickleball. Other events hosted at varying times. Spaces available to host events. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Recreation center is safe and clean.

They were offering a discount for membership back in February and I was able to get my granddaughter in on annual membership. We pay $11.19 a month, I have Silver Sneakers and can go for free. If there are paid classes we have to pay extra , but facility use is free as many times as we want to go. Will be great for summer and the pool!
When can you play pickleball? We would like to play another team. We want to learn.

I don't understand the question
I have had 2 knee replacements in the past year. I used to be able to "walk" the lap pool without interfering with lap swimmers. This is my form of water therapy strengthen my legs without pain. I hope this is still acceptable.

Anyone can become a member. You can get a month membership or an annual membership. We also offer day passes as well. For those who live in the incorporated city of New Port Richey limits, there is a discount.
How many pickleball courts do they have? Are any indoors?
Depends if you are a resident of city of npr. If so there is a resident discount. Check the fb page for details. Adults are 3.75 children 3.50 seniors 3.75
For non residents 6 for seniors and adults and 4.50 for children.
The rec and their management are the biggest bunch of fake scumbags in the city
They are th he type to fire the best worker they had 3 weeks before Christmas because "she didnt do enough events" while hers were bigger and better then any others
And she's a mother of 3 yet again 3 weeks before Christmas

Yes but book thru the club as far as I've been told
My 6 year old went on it, no requirements. He can swim but didn't have to take or pass any kind of test. It is 4ft deep that the slide empties into but he's able to stand with head above water easily.
You certainly can bring your own coolers. I am not sure about the chairs but I think it would be fine. There are plenty very comfortable plastic lounges and many plastic chairs and tables. I never had problem with finding nice seating spot.
how much it is

Swimming in the pools are typically never free though if there is an event and you live outside NPR, you can inquire via their phone nunber about whether non-residents get in free.

Membership costs for npr are less then they used to be. For a day's use of the facility ,$6, and for a month I paid little less then $30., and I live in PR.
They have a skate park on site I'm not sure if bikes are allowed though. I've only seen skateboarders. If you're looking for a really cool BMX trail, try Crews Lake Park. They have trails for every kind of biking including dirt bikes. Their trails are slamming and it's still a county park. Google it. Really cool for that kind of thing.
It is a community pool with a kiddie pool area and a slide. The cost is $6 for adults and $4.50 for kids for the day. $3+ if you are a resident in the nearby area.
How much is it for an adult to go swimming at the REC Center?
Vicki Wheeler | Aug 24, 2018
darkyouri | Aug 24, 2018
I think it might be $6 for adults, $4.50 for kids. $3+ if you are a resident but only within certain surrounding streets (they'll look it up for you).
No, you do not have to have a annual pass. You can pay for daily passes. However, there are times that it is closed to members only. I usually check their website for open swim times.
