The Long Center has pools fit for Oylmpian meets or perfect Little Mermaid/Aquamen celebrations. I attended a birthday party there. The dressing rooms are clean, and the life guards are friendly. It has an outdoor playground as well. The children absolutely enjoyed themselves. They have to swim for the life guards to have their swimming skills assessed. So, bring floaters and life jackets as needed.

This is more than a regular gym that has a soccer field that has Olympic pool that has basketball volleyball Park and surroundings and very unique play area

YES THEY HAVE SWIM LESSONS FOR ALL AGES.... they as well as the YMCA.DIFF. TIMES OF THE YEAR & obviously in $Price$ ETC... YOU may want to ask if you could hire someone to give lessons,but also be able to take them there f they aren't doing them right now or there's a wait :) MY LIL DUDE TOOK LESSONS YEARS AGO @ LONGCENTER WHILE a few years back having membership to Y.M.C.A brought my 9 yr old cousin 2hv swim lessons there. Regardless (Membership saves you $$$$$ on EVERYTHING) +you get access to THE GREAT AMENITIES & ACTIVITIES & much more!! ; ) IT COSTS LESS ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIVE IN(ur address) CLEARWATER! The long center is great though. They have all types of Activities. You should DEFINITELY CALL AND GET MORE INFO.

No. 6 months is the recommended minimum age. Be sure to find an instructor certified in teaching infants to swim. Do not attempt this on your own.
I've tried to play there but courts seem controlled by one person. He dislikes 'outsiders and beginners on HIS court. Definitely doesn't play well with others or share. The gym managers seem to defer to that person. We felt unwelcome on 2 attempts to play there. 😥

It's pretty big. In front there are several soccer fields and a playground. The Long Center itself houses an Olympic sized pool with diving boards and a training pool, a weight room and gymnasium as well as meeting rooms.
