Best thing in Salem. Daughter and I were disappointed in our visit to the city until we decided to visit this gem. So glad we did. We spent the entire afternoon here. Beautiful pieces. Friendly staff. The China house is amazing. Would visit again!

Beautiful museum with a wide range of art and periods. The special exhibits are always interesting and unique, but there's also the on going exhibits displaying some classical pieces of art. There's a story behind every piece of art and PEM makes a good job telling that story with the information plaques adjacent to each piece. It is also in the heart of Salem so you can make a day trip out of it by visiting the museum and then exploring Salem.

The exhibits were amazing to look at. So many different things to learn and see. Different exhibits on different floors was great. Was stopping at the museum on my way through town. Employees were super helpful. The man working in the gift shop was super awesome in picking out gifts for family and friends. The Salem exhibit was interesting to learn about what happened many many years ago.

The oldest American museum, founded in 1799! It got expanded and renovated in September of 2019. Great exhibits on American art, Asian art, high fashion, Salem history. They even have a real antique and unique Chinese house inside (requires a timed admission and additional tickets). There is a great interactive play area for kids. Food in the cafeteria is very good, too. Highly recommend for anyone! Always very enjoyable! We renewed the membership again because we want to come back again and again.

I believe senior tickets are $18 where as an adult ticket is $20
I would send the description & a picture to the museum directly or give them a call.
You'll need to add the exhibition ticket to your cart on top of the GA ticket. It's a timed ticket, so you have to picked a timed slot.
Please go to guest services they have time and schedule that you're looking for you're very welcome
There is a cafe there
Yes they will be open 10/3 wednesday.
A quick Google search says it starts on June 30 and lasts all summer
Sure thing! They can scan it off your phone.
Fridays and weekends.
Hello, Admission was sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation for only Sunday, Aug 22. We are unable to transfer the tickets as we were open yesterday as scheduled. We hope to see you at PEM again soon.
No
Hi, what's the discount for the one who have Ebt ?
I believe it depends on different events and rime of day. We paid $20.00 per adult
Adults $20, seniors (65 and over) $18, students (with ID) $12, youth (16 and under) and Salem residents free (does not apply to student tour groups).
Call them
North American Reciprocal Museum Association.
Are you talking about the Card to Culture program? That offers free or low-cost admission to most museums including the Peabody Essex.
Yes there is a military discount and there's also an elderly discount for seniors discount and if you happen to live in the city of Salem Massachusetts you get to go and see Museum free every Thursday so that's what the Peabody Essex offers
That's only for Salem residents
That's a long way from now. I think all the stores are opening up around 9AM because October is a busy month in Salem
They open at 11
No, they were part of the Playtime exhibit, which has been closed for a few months

I was there last week and i didn't see any. Pretty sure i would noticed history from the UCC. Maybe a direct call is in order?. (July 2018)
On the PEM website, at the bottom, click on Yin Yu Tang.
Normal Sunday hours, 10 AM TO 5 PM.
To use your ebt card for admission, all you need to do is present your card at the front desk. If your ebt card does not have your photo on it, you will need to provide a photo id as well.
Would check the website or Facebook page in the morning. Weather is nuts today. Its supposed to ease up by 4am so perhaps they will open in the morning.
That would be a question for Wikipedia or Google Search, Not Google Maps.
I believe so.
Their website says they are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, as well as on every Monday.
You can get free passes for Salem library
