Beware....this place is teenager infested, and they are the bad teenagers. I got a soda can throwed at me, lots of cursing, and crazy behavior, while that is happening, the ski patrol is in the lounge eating burgers.....but, the terrain and mountain is good, its big, and lots of black diamonds. The cafeteria has good food. So beware, not a kid friendly place, but if you ignore it, Labrador is a good place.

I’d give it no stars if I could. My daughter always wanted to go snowboarding. We got there & told them that it was our first time & that we didn’t know what packages they offered. The woman charged us for a very expensive one that included the ski lift. She told us that there weren’t any lessons due to instructors and that we had to ride the lift in order to snowboard. We found out that what she said wasn’t true from another worker when we were picking up our rental equipment & had to go back to the office for them to refund some of our money & change our package. We should’ve been offered the beginner package with lessons which is way cheaper than what she originally charged us for & that there were several instructors available. We went back to the office and she was very annoyed that other staff had informed us about the beginner package & available instructors. There was no reason for her to try to take advantage of us like that. Finally, our instructor for lessons showed up, 20 minutes late snickering with his buddy. Staff made it very obvious that we weren’t welcome there. It was not family friendly at all for us. They were extremely over priced from packages to food. The snow was basically ice, not much powder and there was no real bunny hill. Staff was rude and uninviting. Very overcrowded. We only stayed because I didn’t want to steal my 10 year olds dream. However, we will not return. I’ve been to Toggenburg and it was a much better experience.

With Toggenburg closing they are going to be dealing with significant overcrowding. Last weekend was extremely crowded in the lodge and on the slopes. It is a nice place but this was a huge issue that made the day less much less enjoyable than it could have been and given we have 4 seasons passes I hope they can address this.

My Favorite Local CNY family friendly mountain. Between the price and the available different terrain, this is my mountain of choice for CNY. GREAT for beginners or advanced ski'ers alike. From the super bunny hill with a simple rope pull to the main mountain trails with 3 lifts available there is so much to offer at labrador. When you add the familly environment and the great centralized lodge setup, it makes it easy for a large group to find every type of skiing there is as well as an easy hub to find each other for brakes. Truthfully, now with my son, we are a third generation that have picked this a our home mountain and have found a community that was never expected. Whether your looking to try a new ski / board spot in CNY or trying skiing/boarding for the first time, Lab is an amazing value and family friendly environment anyone can enjoy. May our mountain be here for another three generations and I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.

They almost always close end of March. If you want to ski or ride later than that, Gore and whiteface are usually open mid to late april
