Officer Maloney; definitely a cool guy. A human being. A very ‘human’ police officer. His mother raised him right. Give him a raise, he’s the kind of officer police want on the force. He’s the kind of officer a lot of cops THINK they are. I respect him and I think that if more police [officers] were like he is, a lot less people would be afraid of being shot or having their lives ruined. He showed what it meant to be a social worker, and I didn’t feel like he hated me, and I felt like he is a police officer for the right reasons. A+ Thanks.

Recently stopped by officer Marvin because of an expired registration that was due in August of 18'. The officer was not only professional but also polite and thorough. We recieved a warning and promptly rectified our oversight via and efficient DMV website. We are fortunate that people are willing to do such a hard job with dedication and integrity!

My wife was the victim of a random assault on Tuesday March 7 , 2017 . After she was struck with a heavy stake in the head , I tackled and pinned the attacker until the police arrived . We called 911 . The police response was very quick. They arrived in less than 5 minutes . They immediately secured the attacker , simultaneously attended to my wife until the EMT's arrived , ensured that I was OK, and that the surrounding crime scene was safe and secure . We are very thankful to the officers of BPD for being there . They were prompt in their response , professional in the manner the dealt with the assault. Also , the empathy demonstrated to both my wife and I was greatly appreciated. We don't expect this type was random crime in Burlington. However , we are grateful that we have such an outstanding Police department to serve and protect when it does occur . Thank you
