Had the privilege of hosting an amazing wedding here. I traveled all the way from Boston with my partner and I will say it was well worth the journey. I love the city but it was nice to experience something brand new in a place that was so different from what I am used to.

Leigh and Mark have cultivated a special kind of magic in the mountains. I met Leigh virtually by inquiring about temporary accommodation for some seasonal work I was doing in 2014. She took me in for 2 weeks as a guest while connecting me to a neighbour that had a spare room for rent, in exchange for bartending their special events and soup Sunday community meals. And after repaying the kindness, continued to help out where I could as Spillian transitioned from bed-and-breakfast to full-functioning event space. I keep returning to Spillian with friends who have never experienced the place for their annual Spillianfest music and food event for the community. I have watched in awe as a small team has done big things in a big way in a manner that is often impossible to find elsewhere in the vicinity. Leigh and Mark continue to bring whimsical, eclectic, and stunningly beautiful experiences to this historic property, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Leigh is a connector, and a progressive force for all that is good in the mountains. She uses Spillian as a platform and a stage for growing the community as a whole. The people and events they host are making a difference and it’s an energy you can feel. I highly recommend the Spillian team for your special events.

Yeah, what they said! Spillian is a perfect venue for weddings, family and friend celebrations, or just to visit for a special event. The mansion is absolutely amazing with antiques and stories in every room and corner. The grounds truly are a beautiful and peaceful nature-filled feast for the eyes and imagination. The hosts are inviting, fun and funny, and super attentive to your needs, comfort and questions and I made it a point to chat with staff when possible and all were delightful and helpful. After a great visit, the hosts pointed me to a great hiking trail in Catskills. Many thanks for a memorable weekend!

When I held my company retreat here every single employee raved about the experience. This place (it seems unfair to use such a typical word like that) is overflowing with myth and art which is exactly what’s needed to spark inspiration. I’ve visited Spillian too many times to count now and each time it feels like some part of my own story is being uncovered as mystery and magic welcomes me. I could write volumes about the service as well… and the food… but I’ll sum it up with the fact that we have just scheduled a wedding there for our oldest daughter. ❤️
